Watercolor Painting Adults/Junior high This will be a beginner/intermediate level watercolor painting class. Non-traditional watercolor techniques, non traditional watercolor materials will be explored.

Creative Collaging II A mixed media class using painting, printmaking, collage, oil pastels(just to name a few options) will combine to create beautiful artwork. Start collecting ephemera for this class now! All those little treasures you've always wanted to do something creative with to keep forever. New Projects and New Techniques are being brought to the studio from both coasts just for the art of collage. Advanced Portrait Drawing To take this class you must have already completed the Introduction to Drawing course or have skills equivalent.
In portrait class we will further our experience in regards to drawing facial features and likenesses. While this class will build your skills, it is important to remember that only practice and more practice will refine your touch. Persons taking this class should not expect that one will be drawing photo realistic portraits in 6 weeks. Portrait drawing is a skill that takes time. Artist Trading Cards!!
Just like the alpha crowd has their sports trading cards, so do we artists!! Artist Trading Cards, also known as ACEO's are truly a great way to collect art and get your name out there for exposure. (and they sell on ebay!)
Measuring just 2.5 x 3.5 inches these tiny miniature masterpieces come in all sorts of mediums and combinations. If you haven't started yet to create these, here is a chance to get you started. We will explore making ATC's with paints, pencils and even mixed media. Little artworks, BIG fun, Big profits.
Plans are being made to start an ATC/ACEO trading club that will be monthly to create and swap. Watch for future information.

Color Theory III Using Color to Get Your Point Made
This will be the third in a sequence of color theory classes. Not a repeat of the previous class offered during summer 2011. No prerequisites. Open to adults (junior high age by approval)

Wonders of Water Solubles For Junior High and Adults This is a 6 week course to explore all the possibilities of water solubles. By now you all either have or know about watercolor pencils, here you'll learn how to use them to create stunning artwork. If you don't know about or haven't mastered water soluble graphite, you will with this class. Pan watercolors? Water soluble oil pastels? Soft pastels as watercolors? Water solubles as mixed media? This will be a very rewarding class. Especially if you think of yourself as a pencil artist, but, it's not all about drawing.

Art Student Portfolio Mentoring
For those of you who know what you want to be! You have an art career as your goal! And, getting into the right art school is your focus. You will be required to hold a well rounded art portfolio for presentation purposes. You can never begin too soon!
This class is designed to aid college art bound students in filling their portfolio with A+ artwork that will reflect their diversity and their own personal style. Students will choose the medium, students will choose the subject, students will express him/herself in artwork best reflecting their direction. Instructor will provide critique, teach students self critique, and mentor with technique enrichment by assisting the student in building each project from the preliminary composition/idea page, through rough draft sketches, to color analysis and the final rendering.
ArtIsIn Studio has a large art library from which the students will be able to pull inspirational ideas, or study specific established artists both classic and todays.
Let your portfolio reflect the true you, through your own personal style with this enriching course.
Limit 3 Students per semester ( currently have 2 students, room for one student left)
Some supplies may need to be provided by student dependent upon project.
